- Continue to read Going Google and respond to first blog posting.
- Attend both on-site meetings for this month.
- Distribute a Google Chromebook to each reading/language arts teacher, in order to familiarize themselves and complete professional development tasks.
- View 30 Ways to Use Chromebooks in the Classroom at on-site session.
October 2014
- Select 2 lessons that utilize 2 different Google Apps on the Chromebook & post lesson designs to the PD blog.
- Attend both on-site meetings for this month and discuss how to get the most out of Google Apps in the classroom
- Guest speaker (TBA) will be at one of the on-site meetings to provide expertise on effectively using technology in the classroom.
- Distribute the remainder of Google Chromebooks for student use.
November 2014
- Successfully implement each lesson in a separate reading/language arts class.
- Post to the blog responding to the questions about ongoing assessment and the effectiveness of your lesson as opposed to not incorporating technology.
- Schedule evening for "Open House" night, in which students will showcase their projects to their parents and family members.
December 2014
- Successfully host "Open House" with parents and students.
